Frequently Asked Questions
"I loved working with you! You made the entire experience truly amazing--from knowing the perfect poses, helping with any 'wardrobe malfunctions' during the shoot, coming up with creative ideas to maximize the shoot, to creating quality images that are natural, authentic, and highlight everything about my body that I am proud of. It never felt like a cheesy photoshoot that was overly staged--I felt like I was hanging out with an old friend!" Indy
The women on your website all look like models. I am not a model, so can I do this???
First of all, thank you so much! Most of the women in my portfolio are not models, they are just my regular clients. I work very hard studying and practicing how to put everyone in flattering poses and flattering lighting. I offer 100% posing guidance through the whole session, so you don't need to worry at all about "modeling." And my hair and makeup team is so fabulous, so you will be looking your best!
As private as you want! I will never share your images without your permission. All the images in my portfolio are there because the client was excited to let me share them. When you come to your image reveal, we will discuss sharing options including where it's ok to share them and which images, if any, you are comfortable sharing.
How private will my pictures stay?
I offer a variety of beautiful fine art heirloom products including albums, print boxes, digital files, prints and canvases. Contact me for a detailed price list of my products and collections. Collections start at $550.
What do your packages include? How much should I expect to spend?
Whatever you feel sexy in! Once you've completed the booking process with me, we will have a phone consultation about your session, including what to wear. Most clients opt for some form of lingerie. A bra and panty set, bodysuit, robe, stockings, a t-shirt and underwear, or nothing at all–whatever you opt for, it will look fabulous! In a 1.5 hour photo session, you will typically have time for up to 5 “looks” or outfits! Don't stress too much about wardrobe. I could spend an entire session shooting a client in just their birthday suit. Still need help? Check out my inspiration and shopping board.
What should I wear? How many outfits can I bring?
I have hand-picked the most talented hair and makeup artists for my all-female team. They know how to create gorgeous looks that photograph like a dream and are amazing working with all skin tones and types of hair. Some clients do not want a "glam" look, but don't worry, if you want a very natural look, these ladies know how to do that. If you want to request a specific artist, just let me know. Hair and makeup is included with all sessions, but if you have special circumstances where you do not want it included (such as you are a makeup artist), please let me know.
Who will do my hair and makeup? Do I have to get it done?
Can I bring someone with me?
The best way to have a supportive friend around is to schedule back to back sessions! No partners or spouses (except for couples sessions) or minors are allowed. This is a firm policy.
How far in advance should I book my session?
After your image reveal and ordering session (which is either the same day or about a week after your session), your order will take 3-4 weeks to be delivered. So if you are planning a gift or something for a particular event, keep that in mind. Also, you will probably want to give yourself a few weeks before your session if you plan on shopping for your wardrobe, especially if you will shop online.
How risqué will my session be?
This is completely up to you! You can be totally clothed the whole time, or totally nude, or somewhere in between. I will ask you what you want to do, but there's no pressure.
How much do you edit?
I do some retouching, including removing temporary blemishes and skin smoothing. But I do not believe in changing your natural body shape with editing. I make sure to pose you flatteringly during your session so that you look your best. If you are concerned with things like cellulite, scars, or stretch marks, please let me know ahead of time if you would like me to lighten or remove them. I think they are all natural and beautiful, but I do understand if you don't want them in your images.
What is your refund policy?
Due to the custom nature of photography, the session price and any products ordered are non-refundable.
